South African Childrens Championships - 30th  October 2009 .   Boys and Girls  Team kata - 3rd Place           Jaylee Feldman - Silver medal kumite .

Commonwealth Games - Pretoria . 16 countries take part .                                                                           Ross Watt - Silver medal kumite  . Troy Futter Bronze medal Kumite (Senior)

September 2009 - Seiwa Kai Western Cape take part in the AGKF Goju Ryu tournament and win  52 medals

Senior , Veterans and Masters All Style KSA tournament - 6-7 th August 2009 in Port Elizabeth.    Masters KATA champion for 2009 -  Shihan Peter Klipfel  Gold Medal . Troy Futter 3rd Place for Kumite in the seniors. Troy was the youngest amongst the more experienced fighters. Boland won the most medals - well done 

Ross Watt receives Silver medal for kumite at the Zone 6 2009 UFAK African Games for cadets and juniors that was held in Botswana
